Sustainability of construction works

A PCR for Steel as Construction Material has been developed in a working group chaired by dr.ing. Sverre Fossdal, and with the participation of representatives from two dominating steel manufacturers in North Europe, a company using steel in constructions, and a steel industry federation. The draft PCR is now for Open Consultation until May 21, 2007.

The Draft PCR is listed in the Global PCR library and on http://www.epd-norge.no/.

EPD-Norge would appreciate comments, and leave it to GEDnet’s member organisations to consider making comments, or to distribute/appoint experts with product category experience to comment on their behalf within the given two months period.

According to ISO 14025, the process of developing environmental declarations should include an open participatory consultation with interested parties. The General Programme Instructions to the International EPD®system is now open for any interested party to comment on.
