Welcome to the new website of the Global Type III Environmental Product Declarations Network. The website has been subject to a total remake, which may involve occasional disturbances in functionality during the re-launch in January 2007.

The purpose of the network is to encourage information exchange between type III environmental product declarations system developers and to discuss key issues in development of systems.

A type III environmental declaration provides information regarding the environmental aspects of products and services based on information from life cycle assessment studies according to the ISO 14040-series of standards.

The process for developing type III environmental declarations is described in ISO 14025.

Currently representatives from Japan, Canada, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Republic of South Korea, China, USA and Sweden are participating within GEDnet.
